At a fast food restaurant, she was only seventeen. Got my ticket, number forty three 'Cos it's the most efficient way of processing me. Number on the screen but not to be seen And you know I won't be round here much longer. At a late night liquor store I acquire my nightly dreams. It's an exhausting, sad routine But it's the most efficient way of processing me. Profit on the bottle at five cents a piece 'Cos you know I won't be round here much longer. Through a midnight hurricane I patrol the city streets And I watch them as they wash clean And it's the most efficient way of processing me. Puddles on the pavement are ten fathoms deep And you know I won't be round here much longer.

Amnesia 05:18
I make no memories, I catch no dreams. The end of the line is coming and I feel fine. I lose sight of yesterday. What does it matter anyway? How can I deny the price of those high times? Oh amnesia, I forget to please you. Lord how I need you, please remember me.

I could write you a love song every day. Be not rotten fruit but the apple of your eye. Warm you at the fireside of my love. I command, you obey. I lead, you follow my way. All the while you direct this charade. I am not the strong one, it's you who are the mountain. Yes, it's the woman builds the man And the woman tears him down, down. I could launch a thousand ships on you. Spill a million's blood in futile feud. Burn you with the raging of my love. It takes more than you feed it. I am not the strong one, it's you who are the mountain. Yes, it's the woman builds the man And the woman tears him down, down.

Wet Dreams 04:39
I'm so fine, Milky white like an angel. You're gonna love me so much it's gonna pain you. I'm so sweet. I walk around with a candy cane. You'll be drippin' like a cream bun when I call your name. I'm so smooth. Like water. Like polished stones. You're gonna wet yourself when you hear my dulcet tones.

And why do you continue to use the very thing that's killing you? Does it make you feel alive, Or do you cry all night? And why do you think I don't see the part of you that's killing me? Do you think that I am blind? Do you think I don't cry all night? Golden storms in the morning, Golden stars at night. The world is cold and broken When you don't see her right. And why can't we really be the people who we need to be? Let's celebrate this life. Let's make love all night.

Dust off the cobwebs in my mind, Take the old girl out for a spin. Pour some words upon a page, Subconsciously I'm getting trim. I don't need to, I just want to. Things are different when you're gone, It's just me and the dust and the wind. I try to write you a travelling song To speed you along, along. I don't need to, I just want to. All that way to watch the ocean from the other side. It's all the same water though. Don't forget to post a card. Wish you were here. Your plants are dancing in the yard, Lonely winter blooms. I don't want you, oh I need you.

Nest 04:04
Bring me some water, won't you light me a candle. Don't touch son, don't touch, This skin is too hot to handle. I'm burning, I'm burning up. I'm deathly cold, are you warm enough son? Won't you carry these bones Out into the back garden sun So I can feel just like when I was young For the last time. Remember that poem? St. Kevin and the Blackbird. Well my hands are stone Even if my skin feels like paper And they'll see you, they'll see you through For the last time.

This world is full of disappointment, Influenza and far too steady employment. We're lost on a planet of plastic Held together by inferior elastic. Cheap cars, cheap men, cheap women, cheap dates. The proliferation of cheap mistakes. Always searching, never finding, Always mining, never minding. No future. Forever. Medicated into double vision. Single minded zombie nation. Tie your tie boy, lace up your laces. We're not in the race if you're not winning races. Eat shit, eat dirt, eat worms, eat me. the more that you gobble, the better you feel. The gates to success are locked tight, The only key - "Arbeit Macht Frei!" No future. Forever. A sex life in high defintion Puts you on a course for collision. It's foreboding, this internet foreplay For the youth who've made it their forte. Get fucked, get ploughed, get ridden around, Your body is a temple for you to burn down. Just don't come crying to me, I've already seen it on TV. No future. Forever.
